Kent News Male Athlete of the Week: Schuyler Wright

Wright is one of the hardest workers on the Conk team.

The Kent News’s male athlete of the week for the week of Jan. 26 is Kentwood High School sophomore Schuyler Wright, boys swim and dive.

What is your favorite subject/class in school?

Sports medicine

Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

My dad has always been there to help me when I needed it.

You’re on a long road trip, you stop at a gas station. You get one drink and one snack. What are you choosing?

Arizona green tea and a blueberry Danish.

Describe your pre-game ritual:

I do a lot of stretching and move my muscles around.

Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

Claire de lune - Debussy

From the sidelines: Schuyler is one of the hardest working swimmers on our team. He brings a great attitude and funny sense of humor. The team follows his work ethic and swimming with him makes our whole team stronger. Schuyler is a joy to coach.
